Using a diode laser engraver or a CO2 laser engraver is totally different.

Diode lasers are great to begin with as some of them are super cheap.

The diode cannot really engrave or cut the object because it just leaves burned marks on the surface of the material.

Difference between Diode and CO2

In conclusion, if you are just interested in laser engraving and want to take the first step to enter the engraving industry, a diode machine is more suitable for you.

However, if you have already owned a diode machine, and want to have more power and speed, then a CO2 laser engraver is the best choice.
